What You’ll Learn

Before being led on your foraging expedition, Elaine will share her over 30 years of wildcrafting experience while reviewing the following topics:

  • Learn about the ethics of wildcrafting, how we impact our environment, and how we can show respect and reciprocity to the environment around us.

  • Learn about the recommended tools for the best foraging experience.

  • Learn best practices for harvesting different plants, with a step-by-step explanation of ethical harvesting techniques.

  • Elane will take us on an herb walk looking at edible, weedy, native, and medicinal plants. She will explain the parts of the plant used, how to use them, their nutritive and medicinal properties, and when to best harvest them.
