FAQ

  • Fertility awareness and cycle tracking is right for you if…

    • You are a cycling person or the partner, ally, parent, or health provider of cycling people.

    • You want to understand more about your body and the fertility cycle.

    • You want to avoid getting pregnant without taking any hormones like the pill or putting anything foreign, like an IUD, in your body.

    • You want to be able to get pregnant with ease by learning your daily fertility patterns to reduce the time to conceive.

    • You want to explore the possible root causes of infertility, understand your unique fertility markers before IUI/IVF, and explore a non-invasive alternative to IUI/IVF.

    • You want to understand the link between cycle health and hormonal imbalances such as irregular cycles, heavy bleeding, painful periods, PCOS, miscarriages, mid-cycle bleeding, amenorrhea, perimenopause, cyclic migraines, hypothyroidism, PMS, chronic yeast infections, and hormonal acne.

You want to support your partner, teen, or loved one in their reproductive health and wellness.

  • Beause it is the most effective, I teach the symptothermal method, which uses the basal body temperature, cervical fluid, and position and texture of the cervix (optional). Thes three fertility signs are combined when charting and specific rules are applied to each sign.

    • Individuals and couples can use this class as a tool to prevent or achieve pregnancy.

    • Practitioners can use this method to assess hormonal balance and aid in fertility management.

    • Everone learns at their own rate, but for most people, it takes 3-4 weeks to learn the method and a few cycles for you to learn own pattern and rhythms.

    • If you are learning this method for contraception, I recommend to practicing, with your partner if possible, for at least 3 months before using this method as your sole form of birth control / contraceptive.

    • Be very cautious about using an app to decide when you are fertile. Relying solely on an app is a good way to possibly wind up pregnant as they don’t track enough information to make them reliable.

    • Each cycle is unique and an app cannot predict how your cycle will be affected by your daily life. Our cycles are impacted by stress, illness, changes in exercise, staying up late, diet, travel, changes in routine, new supplements, new lovers, etc., which is why some of your cycles are longer than others (ovulation is being delayed).

    • With Fertility Awareness, you use real-time bodily signs to decide whether or not you are fertile, this is much more effective than using a predictive app.
